Past IRB rosters are available here, listed by their OHRP approval date. If you need IRB rosters older than five years, please submit a request to email@example.com and include the date ranges and IRB Committee(s) requested.
The University of Arizona maintains standing agreements with other institutions to facilitate research activities for University employees, students, and faculty. Please contact the HSPP Office for questions on the agreements currently in place.
If you wish to conduct research with another institution, please review the guidance on Ceded IRB Review. Complete and submit an Institutional Review Board Authorization Agreement (Word template) if needed.
Fees are charged for the initial IRB review of any new industry sponsored project only. There are no charges for amendments, continuing reviews, or adverse event reports. Fees are due with the initial submission of a project.
Initial, Full Board – $2,500
Initial, Expedited – $1,000
Initial, Deferral to an IRB– $1,000
- Fees are based on full IRB or expedited review, regardless of whether or not the project is initiated.
- Investigators and/or departments are responsible for fee payment, regardless of whether or not the sponsor reimburses them.
- If paying by check, please refer to the rates for outside the UA.

IRB Full Committee Meetings are scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, with the exception of November and December, which may have meetings on the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday.
Items for review must be submitted at least two (2) weeks prior to the meeting, and the application must be complete, with all revisions complete one (1) week prior to meeting. If you have any question, contact the HSPP.
Items that do not need to go before the full Committee are reviewed by IRB staff in the order received. If you have any questions, contact the HSPP.
