Welcome to the University of Arizona Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee Program

The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) oversees the University of Arizona’s animal care and use program and is responsible for reviewing and approving all activities utilizing vertebrate animals for research, teaching and testing, ensuring compliance with federal animal welfare regulations, inspecting animal facilities and investigator laboratories, investigating animal concerns, and overseeing training and educational programs.

Animal care and use program description: University Animal Care provides information that can be used in grant proposals that require a description of the animal care and use program.
