Biosafety Training

Appropriate training is required for all individuals that work with and/or supervise the use of recombinant and biohazardous material. The Biosafety Protection Courses are an annual requirement. Annual refresher courses can be taken online. You can see the status of your training by logging into the User Dashboard.

All training is available thru EDGE Training 

Basic Biosafety Protection Course - required for all personnel working with BSL-1 or BSL-2 agents.

Plant Hazard Protection Course - required for research involving transgenic plants, plant pathogens, and organisms associated with plants.

BSL-3 Protection Course - required for anyone working within a BSL-3 laboratory.

 

Bloodborne Pathogen Course – prerequisite for the Basic Biosafety Protection Course and required for any individual who may come in contact with bloodborne pathogen.
