The Minority University Research and Education Project (MUREP) in NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM), in collaboration with the NASA Aeronautics Research Institute (NARI) of the Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) calls for eligible U.S. Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) to lead post-secondary education teams that will collaborate with other domestic entities including small businesses, to respond to gaps in the U.S. aerospace high-volume manufacturing supply chain ecosystem. The goal: Develop a significant scientific, engineering, and/or technology manufacturing and supply chain network led by MSIs that aligns with aerospace NASA and/or industry (public or private) high-volume manufacturing and supply chain ecosystem needs for national competitiveness.

The Blavatnik National Awards for Young Scientists recognize the United States' most promising faculty-rank researchers in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, and Chemistry. One Blavatnik National Awards Laureate in each disciplinary category will receive $250,000 in unrestricted funds, and additional nominees will be recognized as Finalists.

Vitalyst Health Foundation is on a mission to connect, support and inform efforts to improve the health of individuals and communities in Arizona. The two-tiered grant process is designed to invest in the development or demonstration of ways to positively address complex community health challenges and reduce structural and/or systemic gaps in health outcomes or opportunities. The 2022 Systems Change Grants will be an open request for proposals. The 2022 Spark Grants process will be by invitation only.
Systems Change Grants catalyze collaborative work that transforms systems through changes to policies and practices to improve the health for our communities. It is a three-year award ranging from $150,000-$175,000 total.

The Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Program serves to increase access to multi-user scientific and engineering instrumentation for research and research training in our Nation's institutions of higher education and not-for-profit scientific/engineering research organizations. An MRI award supports the acquisition or development of a multi-user research instrument that is, in general, too costly and/or not appropriate for support through other NSF programs.
MRI provides support to acquire critical research instrumentation without which advances in fundamental science and engineering research may not otherwise occur. MRI also provides support to develop next-generation research instruments that open new opportunities to advance the frontiers in science and engineering research. Additionally, an MRI award is expected to enhance research training of students who will become the next generation of instrument users, designers and builders.
An MRI proposal may request up to $4 million for either acquisition or development of a research instrument. Beginning with the FY 2018 competition, each performing organization may submit in revised “Tracks” as defined below, with no more than two submissions in Track 1 and no more than one submission in Track 2.
Consistent with the America COMPETES Act of 2007 (Public Law 110-69), cost-sharing of precisely 30% of the total project cost is required for Ph.D.-granting institutions of higher education and for non-degree-granting organizations. Non-Ph.D.-granting institutions of higher education are exempt from the cost-sharing requirement and cannot include it. National Science Board policy prohibits voluntary committed cost sharing.

The Connecting Minority Communities Pilot Program provides new federal funding for the Assistant Secretary to make grants for the expansion of broadband internet access, connectivity, and digital inclusion. The Act authorizes new federal funding for the Assistant Secretary to make grants to eligible recipients in anchor communities: for the purchase of broadband internet access service or any eligible equipment, or to hire and train information technology personnel; to facilitate educational instruction and learning, including through remote instruction; to operate a minority business enterprise (MBE); or to operate a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. The Act also authorizes grants to a consortium, led by an eligible recipient institution (i.e., educational institution), that includes an MBE or a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. UArizona may submit only one application for each of the Scholarship, Fellowship, Faculty Development, and Trade School and Community College Scholarship grant programs.
The program provides funding to support research and development for nuclear science, engineering, technology, and related disciplines to develop a workforce capable of supporting the design, construction, operation, and regulation of nuclear facilities and the safe handling of nuclear materials.
The NRC is interested in technologies relevant to the programmatic mission of the objectives referenced above, with an emphasis on providing financial assistance for research, development, demonstration, and commercial application activities relevant to civilian advanced nuclear reactors, including, but not limited to, relevant fuel cycle technologies, advanced construction, manufacturing, and fabrication methods.
