Non-Medical In-Services
Institutional Support
Institutional support personnel that have limited exposure to radiation or have limited access to radiation-restricted areas have a once-only in-service requirement. Each department is responsible for ensuring that untrained personnel do not work in radiation-restricted areas.
These in-services are offered routinely and are directed to individuals from the following units:
- UA Police
- UA environmental services support
- UA Facilities Management crafts shops
- University Animal Care
- UA Shipping/Receiving
- Risk Management Services
Please contact Research Laboratory & Safety Services at (520) 626-6850 for scheduling information or if you need additional information.
Laser Safety In-Service
Individuals who use lasers under the supervision of a trained laser user must attend a laser safety in-service prior to laser use. This in-service is required for individuals such as those who use lasers in a laboratory class under the supervision of a teaching assistant.
To request a Laser Non-Medical In-Service for your department or group, please contact Research Laboratory & Safety Services at (520) 626-6850.
