Research, Discovery & Innovation (RDI) is committed to supporting faculty in research and creative endeavors. Toward this aim Research, Discovery & Innovation offers a number of internal, university-wide opportunities to support external funding proposal development to enhance competitive succes. Research advancement grants are categorized as such
CATEGORY 1: FACULTY SEED GRANTS – Support early career projects.
CATEGORY 2: START FOR SUCCESS; LINK AWARDS; INDUSTRY AWARDS – Facilitate From Idea-to-Targeted Research --creating teams, broadening partnerships, and targeting interdisciplinary projects.
CATEGORY 3: ACCELERATE FOR SUCCESS; LARGE COMPLEX PROPOSALS - Funding for transdisciplinary teams (faculty from more than one college) who are prepared to extend successfully funded research programs into Multi-layered Strategic Research Addressing Emerging Federal Priority Area(s)* -- for tenure-eligible faculty/researchers who have received significant funding and wish to expand research scope/scale/breadth, and includes travel.
CATEGORY 4: CORE FACILITY EQUIPMENT ENHANCEMENT FUND & SHARED EQUIPMENT ENHANCEMENT FUND – Augment scientific capacity through the acquisition of equipment for use by multiple investigators.
